Griswold volunteers have protected our community with fire, rescue, and emergency medical services since 1947.
At the Griswold Volunteer Fire Department, our mission is to provide exceptional emergency services through teamwork, compassion, and a commitment to excellence. Founded on courage, service, and community, we work to protect the lives and property of Griswold residents and our surrounding communities.
Our volunteers respond to structure fires, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, rescues, hazardous-material incidents, and other calls for help. We work alongside law enforcement, medical professionals, dispatchers, and neighboring agencies to deliver a coordinated response when every second counts.
Experienced members train and mentor new recruits so the next generation of firefighters and medical personnel can serve with skill and confidence. GVFD welcomes people ready to learn, contribute, and make a difference.
